Interesting story here as this truck was rustproofed some time in it's past when the installer used a Rubber Coating type of product. What was interesting here was the frame appeared to be in great condition while dropping to a knee and looking at the chassis. Upon closer inspection, at every point of the chassis that had the opening of a channel, hole or bolted through hole, there was rust under the rubber coating that was eating away at the steel. By merely touching the rubber coating around these chassis opening with a scraper tool, an entire chunk of rubberized material popped right off and 3" past every opening was pure rust. Other areas were impacted so much by rust that we needed to scrape quite a bit of rubber coating and layers of rust steel, to find the solid steel we needed to apply our Oil Undercoating to.
The results were spectacular again after applying NHOU Back-N-Black to chassis rails which is easy but more importantly, using our specialized wands and hoses, to apply the product to all the areas you can not see. Gas Tank Straps, cross members, cross tubes, in-between the leaf springs, shocks and perches and other hard to reach areas.
We used NHOU Mouse-Out-Clear to fog door rocker panels, hood rocker, front quarter panels , the Pick-Up Bed rocker panels and pick-up rear door.
The amount of rust and plastic coating that was on the ground after the job was ugly.
Needless to say, this truck recieved high quality comprehensive corrosion protection against natural elements that cause rust. Eliminating the ability of Oxygen to interact with metal, eliminates continued rust.
